I am planning to relocate from London to Durban next month for a new job opportunity, and I’m trying to get a realistic handle on the local cost of living.

I’ve noticed that most prices in shops already include the tax, but I want to be sure about my larger purchases like furniture and electronics.

I’ve been using a 15% vat calculator south africa to see how much of my salary will actually be going toward government contributions on my monthly spending.
